Become an Arts Inclusion Project School!

We will soon be accepting applications for schools interested in being an Arts Inclusion Project site for the 2024-25 school year. Professional development will be provided for Special Education educators and classroom aides as part of the program.

About the Arts Inclusion Project

The Wake Arts Inclusion Project (WAIP) and Durham Arts Inclusion Project (DAIP) were three-year (2019-2022) efforts to increase participation by children with disabilities in the full range of cultural arts activities in Wake, Durham and the surrounding counties.

For Program Year 2019-20, we offered year-long intensive support to: Wakelon Elementary School, Zebulon Elementary School, Arts Together, and Theatre Raleigh

We piloted the project in August 2017, offering year-long intensive support to: Raleigh Little Theatre, Artspace, Rogers Lane Elementary School and Lincoln Heights Elementary School
