A New Kind of Listening (anewkindofkistening.com) is a documentary film about an inclusive theater group from Durham/Chapel Hill, NC, as well as a project to inform and encourage inclusive arts initiatives through screenings and community organizing as described in our online Toolkit.

DASI (Descriptive Audio for the Sight Impaired)
DASI has been describing at the Asheville Community Theatre for more than ten years, but have broadened their services to many other venues. They happily take requests from theatre patrons, although they do require at least two weeks’ notice in order to work best to accommodate the needs of both the patrons and the performance venue.
